4-5ft Malus ‘Ellison’s Orange’ | Apple Tree

‘Ellison’s Orange’ is a very reliable and traditional mid-season apple variety which produces a good crop of medium sized fruits that ripen in September and have a distinctive aniseed flavour and aroma. The fruits have yellow-green skin with red flushes, and quite soft flesh, slightly similar in texture to pears. The apples taste best when freshly picked from the tree, but are also an excellent variety for processing into juices and ciders, or as addition to desserts or cheese. ‘Ellison’s Orange’ has been awarded the Award of Garden Merit given by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), which helps gardeners make informed choices about plants.
